.
Bro William H Cairns, P.M. of the Lodge and Hon PGM Depute was introduced to the Brethren.
A detailed resum
e of his masonic career was given by Bro John Shearer P.M. and he was then presented with his 50 year diploma.
Bro Cairns expressed his thanks to the lodge and recalled some of the main events which had occurred during his membership of the lodge.
Thus concluded a very busy and enjoyable evening at Lodge Cadder Argyle.


RWM_John_Sheara2.jpgThe Master, Bro James Anderson presented Past Master Bro John Adam Sutherland Shearer on Thursday, 4th January 2018 with his 50 year diploma. 
A resume of his masonic career was outlined by Hon Depute Provincial Grand Master Bro William Cairns.

In reply Bro Shearer thanked the lodge and outlined the enjoyment and pleasure he had derived from his membership of the lodge.

On the evening of Friday the 2nd October 2015 a Past Masters Dinner took place in the Garfield House Hotel, Stepps. It was arranged by Past Master James O. Taylor and attended by a number of Past Masters of Lodge Cadder Argyle and guests.
After the dinner was finished the Chairman for the evening John Shearer proposed a toast to the Queen and the Grand Lodge of Scotland. James Hope proposed a toast to the Master and this was replied to by the guest for the evening Alan Quate (Master of 147). William H Cairns proposed a toast to Cadder Argyle 147 and Ian McIntyre proposed a toast to absent friends. Finally the Chairman John Shearer proposed a toast to our next Merry Meeting.

At the Annual Installation of Office Bearers for 2015 of the Provincial Grand Lodge of Dunbartonshire.
Past Master Bro. James O. Taylor was presented with a Past Senior Grand Warden’s Jewel for his term of  Office. 
This is the highest honour which can be bestowed on an Elected Office Bearer.
He follows in the footsteps of. Bros. Wm. Douglas Adam PM (2001), James Sommerville PM (1988), Andrew T. Frame PM (1976) and John L. Wallace PM (1949).
